PORTUGUESE STEW

4 cans kidney beans
3 ham hocks
2 qts. water
2 cans tomato paste
4 sticks Polish sausage, sliced
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. coarse chopped parsley
2 tbsp. garlic salt
1 tbsp. black pepper

Put above ingredients in large covered pan and cook 1
hour at 350 degrees or on top of stove, stir once or
twice.  Add 6 cups or 1 whole cabbage, shredded, 7 to 8
carrots, sliced and 8 to 9 potatoes, diced.  Cook about
30 minutes until carrots are cooked.  Keep on warm
until served.
