CHOCOLATE MINT SQUARES

Brownie Layer:

One package fudge brownie mix prepared in 9 x 13 pan according to package directions.

Mint Filling:

Ingredients
1 3-oz. package cream cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. peppermint etract (or more to taste)
3 to 5 drops green food coloring

Directions
In small bowl, mix all mint filling ingredients until smooth.  Add 2 to 3 tsp. milk if needed for spreading consistency.

Spread over brownies and refrigerate 10 minutes.

Chocolate Topping

Ingredients
6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup Hersey's cocoa
2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions
In small sauce pan over low heat, melt butter.

Add cocoa and cook, stirring constantly just until mixture is smooth.

Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture appears melted and glossy.

Pour mixture quickly over mint filling/brownie layer.

Cut into squares and serve. 

Note:  Freezes very well.
